BMW M4 GTS Highlights
The very limited-edition BMW M4 GTS has 700-unit production models, and of which, 300 units of M4 GTS are released in the United States. The debut of the M4 GTS celebrated the 30th anniversary of the BMW M3, which was first introduced in 1986.
The BMW engineers worked meticulously for the development of the special powertrain, chassis, and lightweight construction of the powerful M4 GTS.Frank van Meel, CEO of BMW M GmbH, stated:
“They sharpen the character of the BMW M brand and embody an emotionally rich and exclusive driving experience. We’ve taken a radical route with the set-up of the BMW M4 GTS to create a sports machine for the race track that delivers top-end dynamics and inspirational performance. It allows us to demonstrate what is possible today with a road-legal car. Owners can drive their BMW M4 GTS to circuits such as Spa-Francorchamps, the Nürburgring or Laguna Seca – for Clubsport events, for example – and then set lap times there that raise the bar to extremely high levels for road-legal cars.”
OLED Tail Lights
One distinctive feature of the M4 GTS is the OLED tail lights. OLED or Organic Light Emitting Diodes are BMW’s new cutting-edge LED lighting technology that lights up to a homogeneous effect. This means that each LED light emits light in the form of a point. The OLED brings out the sleek L-shaped contour of the tail lights where they measure 1.4 millimeters in height. Unfortunately, this feature is currently not available in the North American production models.
Water injection technology
The BMW M4 GTS uses a 6-cylinder in-line turbo similar to that of the new BMW M3 and M4. The game-changer is the addition of the Water Injection technology, which gives the 3.0-liter unit a horsepower boost to 500 HP.
Goes from 0 to 100 km/h (62 MPH) in just 3.8 seconds and with the top speed of 189.5 MPH, this makes the BMW M4 GTS the agilest, most radical and dynamic model in BMW’s repertoire.

M4 GTS Interior
The interior is entirely focused on BMW’s commitment to the Motorsport culture. Both the driver and passenger seats are equipped with the carbon fiber M bucket seats, which weight 50 percent less than the BMW M4 sports seats.
The optional Clubsport Package can further enhance the affinity of the BMW M4 GTS with the race track. It includes a roll bar of Acid Orange positioned behind the front seats, a race-specific six-point harness and a fire extinguisher.
Along with the exclusive Alcantara or Merino leather seat covering, the interior is further graced with Alcantara material on the M sports steering wheel, three-point seat belts, and signature M stripes in the backrests.
